BIOGRAPHY

Often known for my unconventional drive and creative ambition, my intense charisma has allowed me to build a passion into a lifestyle. My eagerness to compose and create, combined with my hope to constantly progress has allowed me to be the best Instructor I can be. Contributing to a dancers journey warms my heart. And while I was able to share a timeless and fulfilling art form, I am left with an understanding that although they are the student, they are also teaching me.

My passion for life is channeled into my work, with hopes of providing an environment where a dancer can discover and produce something that they are proud of. And after years of being a dance student, then an instructor, I have come to believe that presenting a place of support, sincerity, and productivity is essential to positive growth.

The idea of technique in my lessons, is finding the true status of our bodies current dance-based capabilities. If the dancer doesn’t honestly know, they wont correctly grow. I don’t ever hold an expectation of perfection, but rather the goals and focus of personal best and genuine effort. The hope I have when teaching choreography is for students to find a connection – creating opportunities to embrace and share their strengths and styles.

My overall objective when holding class is to have students walking in feeling interested, eager, and hopeful. Then during class feeling challenged, comfortable, and encouraged. And finally I want to have the same students who walked in, to walk out informed, proud, strong; As dancers.
